Only after a few months of it's creation, it seems totcomicsdoom is branching out to more than just the Doom games. Although Doom is the main focus of the site I feel other games critical to fps history should be mentioned here as well. Now naturally this list only contains dos fps games I've played and enjoyed.

The game that started it all. It's easy to say that without Doom the fps genre would have never gotten popular at all. Doom revolutionized fps gaming forever introducing such things as texture mapping, different height sectors, and different lighting levels. Not to mention EXTREMLY good graphics for the era. This is the shareware copy of Doom (not the whole game.)
NOTE: If your computer cant run dos games download a source port like Zdoom to run Doom on a modern pc like vista. Get zdoom at www.zdoom.org
Buy the full version Doom for your iPod touch on the appstore.
Blood seems to have been forgotten about, but it is a great game. Not only is it a great detailed shooter built with the build engine, but it can be funny at times as well. Such as the guy in the train station who prank calls you, and the little hand in the cage at the carnival running around saying random words in a squeaky voice. The enviroment you play in is very interactive as well. I highly reccomend you download Blood and see for yourself. This is the shareware verion of Blood, and not the full game.
Duke nukem 3d is built with the same engine as Blood, but is an entirely different game story and graphic wise. It is a great game with a highly interactive enviroment and good graphics and I reccomend you download it.
NOTE: If your pc can't run dos games, download a source port to run this on modern pc's like Vista.
Buy the full version of Duke Nukem 3D for your iPod touch on the appstore.
Back around the turn of the century, you could find a young me sitting in front of the old windows 98 playing this. Although my copy of the cd was lost long ago, I was able to find this game on the internet recently and it is now available here for free being as it is no longer available for sale. If you encounter problems with this game, or it has a virus my scanner didn't catch, contact me at:

Although not technically a DOS game, it is from that era. In my opinion DOOM 64 is the best classic doom game, with hi res sprites, sounds, and many new level design features not present in earlier Doom games, and it is probably one of the most atmospheric games I've ever played. Sadly due to it's lack of multiplayer, and various traditional Doom monsters it wasn't extremely popular. Doom 64 is a forgotten classic.
